In July 2026 we made a trip to the Aosta valley in Italy - with Henkjan Kievit and Kars Veling - to photograph butterflies and any other insects that we could find. A mountainous area offers different opportunities (and temperatures) at different elevation levels, so we saw quite a variety of butterflies, moths and other critters.
Our travelgroup was a pleasure to be with, the hotel was quiet and pleasant, the weather was a bit hot, but mostly pleasant at higher elevations, our tourguides Henkjan and Kars did an excellent job again (see also Jaca, Spain, 2025) and so we had a wonderful time.
